MICE – Crisis management 2020
Crisis-proof events
The deployment of employees and crisis management strategies has long been part of everyday life for larger companies. How can this be applied to the MICE industry? What is crisis management? And what do we need MICE crisis management for? Issues such as terrorism, social media reactions and other disruptive incidents should not be seen as far away in the event industry either, but as part of every event and conference planning.
In this impulse workshop with the European MICE crisis manager Steff Berger, you will learn how you as an agency, company or location can master critical situations and crises in cooperation with customers and partners and how you can jointly use your strengths as an event team. The following impulses are set: Resource-oriented MICE crisis management, risk assessment and the resulting crisis management strategies.
Steff Berger has more than 18 years of experience in the conference industry and has managed logistics at conferences in 21 European cities. She is also a BCM-certified crisis manager and has completed courses in counter-terrorism and risk assessment as an “Anti Terror Officer”. She specializes in crisis management for the MICE sector in Europe. These include terrorist attacks, shit storms on social media, critical situations during events, crises and more.
